"A DAY THAT WILL LIVE IN INFAMY"

Another beautiful sunrise in Oregon.
Carissa took the first two at about 7:00 am.
The rest I took at about 7:30.
It's amazing what a difference a few minutes makes, as the sun rapidly changes the landscape. Our version of a reflecting pond -
a stock tank collecting rain water from the gutter!
The birdhouse hanging in the Japanese Maple outside my kitchen window.

OH CHRISTMAS TREE, OH CHRISTMAS TREE

Grandad sizing up the tree. I'm sure he was remembering last years fiasco! Check out last November's Archives for the gory details! This year we measured, we cut, and then we measured again! As you can see, the tree is up, and with no hole in the ceiling either!
We got the tree Thursday and it took Josiah till Saturday to get 3800 lights on 17' of tree. So it wasn't till Sunday after church that we finally got to the actual decorating. Between Josiah and Bernard they took care of the upper branches!
How many people do you know who decorate their tree from an upstairs window? We do have an extension ladder on the other side of the tree. When Josiah moves out and can't help decorate, we'll have to go back to a measly 13 footer! ...How lovely are your branches!
